Bio

When I was small, I spent many hours at a child-sized easel that was setup for me in the corner of the laundry room. My mother created this special art space for me, mostly to keep me out of her paint–by–numbers.

Over the years, I have only barely managed to carve out precious bits of time to paint.

Now, having flipped through two busy careers – one as a Linguist and one as a Traditional Acupuncturist – I’ve decided to settle–down and do what I’ve always loved the best – and that is painting! I’m thrilled to be reinventing myself yet again and in the Summer of 2005 I inaugurated my new life as a painter, with a three–week trip to Italy.

I am a self-taught artist and have explored many styles –– from ‘Impressionism’ to ‘the Group of Seven.’ There is still the realm of Abstract Painting before me. In May 2005, I made my debut with a solo show at the Cottage Gallery/Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brantford, Ontario.
